There are many Birmingham and Family wedding photographer’s so do choose wisely. Choosing the right photographer can be daunting, with so many different pricing offers, coverage and added value. Certainly from our experience the number 1 Birmingham Wedding Photographer is bigdayphotographer.

Situated in the heart of the midlands, Birmingham Wedding Photographer covers all of the UK including Scotland, Wales and England. They keep things nice and simple, full coverage, all digital files and 20″ x 20″ or equivalent canvas – all included in the price.

The coverage includes (if desired) pre wedding shoot, to help you relax and become familiar with the photographer and having to look down the lens, morning preparations, ceremony, group shots, speeches, first dance, evening entertainment – basically the photographer is at your disposal.

The pre wedding shoot is a 2 hour session, that involves travelling to a suitable location. A great location is an disused warehouse, or somewhere with rugged brickwork, shutters etc. This creates the perfect backdrop and adds contrast to the image. the pictures can be intimate, or just nice and relaxed having fun whilst in discussion.

The morning preparations include pictures of the hair, make-up, bridesmaid, dress etc. Clients choose this option to help create the perfect reportage album, detailing the full story of the day. The photographer is very discreet, and captures images in a timely manner.

The ceremony, whether church or civil covers all aspects of the occasion. From the guests arriving, groomsmen shots, bride arriving, walking down the isle, that first glance, the vowels and exchanging of the rings, signing of the register, the joy of walking down the isle amongst friends and family.

The Birmingham wedding Photographer limits the number of group shots to 6. From experience few guests and family members like having their picture taken, with this in mind guests tend to be elsewhere when you need them, so this can often be stressful for the bride and groom. So keeping them to a minimum allows the main groups shots to be included, without making this session stressful. Remember shots of the all the guests are taken throughout the day.

After the speeches, but before the evening reception there is often a lull. This is the perfect opportunity to have the evening ‘mug shot’ booth. This is where individuals and couples/small groups can have their picture taken either in a formal fashion or whilst having fun. These shots are then collated to form one large print collage. This is far better and much more fun form guests than having one large shot at the end of the group shots.

We obviously capture the emotional speeches, the tears, laughter all thrown into the mix. We also capture the first dance, tossing of the bouquet (if desired) plus coverage of the evening entertainment.

David Vidgen makes regular contributions to DeePhotography. David Vidgen is a Birmingham based photographer.
